A male age 36-40, anonymous writes:

hey guys, got some social media drama for you..

so I am involved with this girl for a while. she just got a new apartment, announces the news on social media bla bla.

This guy "friend" of hers responds on it says he cant wait to see it. she responded "meow" to him.

I hate social media and I find myself caught up in it.

my first reaction was to be mad and wonder if shes hooking up with him or is it just something stupid?

A reader, anonymous, writes (18 August 2015):

It's just something stupid. It has many meanings. It's a feminine flirtation, and only she can tell you exactly what she means by it.

Cats purr and meow when they are content or want something. They stroke their bodies against your legs to get your attention and to show affection. She's being coy. I'd say it's open to interpretation; and it was code between the two of them. If you're going to take silly things like this seriously, maybe you shouldn't rely too much on trying to read code, go and ask HER.

If you're not dating seriously or exclusively; she can flirt to her heart's content, and anything else she wants to do.

By the way; you said you were involved, not committed. So her options are still open.
