writes: This guy in my office has chatted me up consistently since I began working here. I'm 25 and he's 28. he's been with the company 3 yrs, me 3.5 months. He asked me to lunch a few times early on, we've hung out a few times in the evenings, once on a weekend night, and he asked me out for this Friday. He texts me and/or sends me email on our work addresses everyday and was stopping by the desk twice a day since day 1. The last has been tapering off this week for the first time in over 3 months. So have the emails. I'm not stupid, if we didn't have a date planned this wkd id know he wasn't into me and not give him a thought, but I'm getting rly mixed signals. He used the phrase, "I wanted to ask you out.." so I know he doesn't think of me as a friend. He tells me I'm cute a lot. His office chums all know the deal. But he texts instead of calls and like I said communication is dwindling despite an upcoming date that was planned 2 days ago to take place 2 days from now. Is it possible he's settling into the idea of us as an item and therefore isn't trying as hard? Guys get lazy after a certain comfort level. Or is it that he's losing interest? No physical intimacy at all so far. Not even a kiss.
