writes: Okay, so we're both juniors in high school, and have known who the other person is since freshman year.However, we've never really spoken to each other.I sometimes find him glancing at me, and he always trys to get near me when we have to pass each other in the hallways.And when he sees that I'm having a conversation with my friend who's also a friend of his, he would sorta just kinda jump into the conversation. But he doesn't really acknowledge my presence, or direct the conversation towards me.I sometimes catch him eavesdropping in on my conversations too, sometimes.It seems like the only time he can get close to me is when there is someone else near by.So what's up with this guy? I think he might be too shy to approach you directly (fear of rejection) . If you like him and want someting to happn between you two.I'd advice you to break the "akward" boundry by simply smiling and saying Hi. Get to know this guy as a friend first so the you're comfortable around eachother. And a little bit of flirting wont hurt!

reader, anonymous, writes (13 November 2009): If you're still in high school, then its hard to answer your title question. Some people are still a bit awkward at that age so he may appear weird when he is not :)
As for what to do, just flirt a little. See if he responds, have fun with it. If he hasn't made the first move, then someone's gotta!
