does he take you out to dinner or the movies
does he help you with things?
have you met his friends or family?
do you just sit around and talk sometimes?
go for a drive?
if all you do is meet have sex and part.. then he's using you for sex... and you could use him right back for the same thing...

Just because you are having a sexual relationship outside of a relationship does not mean that he is "using" you. Why don't you ask him where you stand? You'll never be able to have a proper relationship until you learn how to communicate properly. Be honest about how you feel, and ask him how he feels. You will soon know if he wants to have a relationship with you or not. But whatever the case, don't accuse him of using you, just because he is happy to go along with having sex with you without you being his girlfriend. He is no more using you than you are him.
