Question - (17 October 2014) 6 Answers - (Newest, 18 October 2014)
A female United States age 51-59, *issr writes:

Ok. Here's the deal. I've been attending a new church for about 6 months. After a few months or thereabouts I have a thought that the worship pastor and I would make a good fit. Move forward a few months and he sends me an email (only me) asking if I want to take part in a drama. He goes on to say that in the drama I will play his wife in it. So I meet with him at the church and we run lines (just the two of us) and he kind of brushed my arm when he was telling me my line. It felt like something. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it seems like maybe he has a slight interest. He is single and so am I. Thoughts?

Careful now!

Is this his MO with all the other attractive, single (or maybe not so single) female parishoners?

He could definitely be a player. Using his position to serve his purposes....

Just have your eyes wide open.

Geeze, you guys, she is a grown woman and they are both single. Church seems like a fine place to meet a potential future spouse if one is a christian, pastor or not.

There is a possibility this pastor is genuinely interested in this poster. Personally I see nothing whatsoever wrong with two adults meeting and falling in like. I'm also not going to assume this guy is preying on her. Kind of a ridiculous assumption if you ask me.

He sounds like he is preying on you.

I would not trust him if I were you.

Stay away from him.

It's a church at drama. He leads this group since he is the worship paator. Maybe I didn't make that clear.

olderthandirt agony aunt"Any thought?" Duh...yeah, this lil dude is not the typical pastor I know about. i think you are being manipulated into a dangerous corner and you might want to RUN LIKE THE WIND to a more 'traditional" church environment where there are parishoners and the pastor is married with kids and has some kind of a grip on reality. this is one of the spookiest posts I've read on this site.good Luck and blessings on you
