writes:I met my boyfriend online 6 weeks ago, hes in iraq as a private contractor and isnt home until Aug, and Ive fallen for him. we speak and chat all the time but I havnt heard from him in a week, I know he could be working and have no signal, but I dont know how to deal with this im in pieces in case hes changed his mind or ignoring me, i didnt think I could feel like this so soon or with someone of the net but i m in Love.... How do I deal with this ?????? please help me as im at my witts end xx

No one is allowed mobiles in Iraq as they can be traced by insurgents and they use the signal as an aiming point for mortars.
If he had a mobile on him then he's probably been given a bollocking and had it confiscated.
If he was on a sat phone then he might have run out of minutes, or you never know, he might have been out in Basra with no access.
If you are dating a guy who is out in dodgy parts of the world then they will go out of contact every now and then for a week or so. It's part of the job and they can't warn you as it's a security risk. My hubbie was in Iraq last year and I just would stop getting phone calls for 3 weeks at a time when he went off on a little mission somewhere.
Your best bet is to keep as busy as you can and never sit by the phone or you'll go insane.
Oh and tell him to try the chocolate cake in the cookhouse if he is on the COB. It's gorgeous.
