 ok you want to know if he has a girl with out asking him...and if you ask one of his friends then oviously their friend is going to tell him you asked...sooooooo why dont you just "spy"
if you see him talking to alot of girls then maybe he dont have one..if you see this one girl always with him then oviously maybe thats her..if he has a cell phone and is using it alot maybe thats her too and if you see him smiling while talkin on the phone then its probably her too.

 This can be done very easily. Ask a friend of his, or yours that you can trust to ask him if he is going out with anyone. Apart from asking him yourself, there is really no other way I can think of. However, it should be noticeable if he is going out with someone or not, especially at his age. If he was going out, he would be with her most of the time. If he isn't going out with anyone, feel free to look at advice on my column on how to ask him out. If you need the advice of course...:-)I hope this helps. Good Luck! ZIM

You could try asking his friends. Or you could talk to him anyway and ask about his life, what he does in his spare time, see if he mentions anyone. Or ask him a loaded question, for example 'What would you think if you're girlfriend...?' But at the end of the day, there's no reason why you can't just ask him. Or, get someone else to...
