writes:Theres this guy at school that I've been crushing on for the past year and a half now.Lets call him "John"me and john are not best friends, but were pretty good friends, only online and in school though, i've never hung out with him outside of school or eaten lunch at the same table as him.I'm crazy about him, and he knows i'm gay,and his friends (and fraternal twin brother) don't like me cause i'm gay, but he still accepts me and treats me like the rest of his friends...he also does things that make me think he likes me...like i recently had surgery and missed a week of school, and he was the only one (besides my 2 best friends) to text me and ask where i was and why i wasn't in class, so he is obviously noticing me, and when i'm not there. :)some other thingsHe's always looking at me in class..he sits 2 seats ahead and always turns around and i'll look up and catch him looking, then he'll do this crazy eye face, like he was just trying to be funny or somethingalso in the halls he does the same thing, he does this little 'Mug" face, and i do it back, it's kinda cute lolAlso on facebook we'll be on chat and it's always sorta flirting, like, it's lame, but we both know all the fb emoticons and we'll sit there or a while and send each other different ones back and forth...idk if thats considered flirting or not.=/he also admires all the stuff i make in my ceramics class like a ton :)another thing is, i sent him this youtube video called "100 ways to love a cat" and he came up to me the next day and was like " i watched the whole thing...way 11 whisper, then he whispered "i love you" to me'"..if you saw the vid you might understand this one a bit more.Me him and one of my friends (female) chat on aim sometimes and one time she was like ( lets call her Jane and me Tom)Tom :(smart remark about jane)Jane: Tom I hate you,jkJohn:well i love you tomtom: thanks john lolI couldn't say i love you back, cause i didn't know if he was kidding or not, of course he doesn't love me, were only 16, but idk, I hope you know what i'm trying to point out.Also, whenever we talk on aim with Jane, besides that "i love you comment" he'll be kind if mean to me, only when chat rooming with jane though....is this because he likes jane, and wants to impress her by bullying me, or because he likes me and wants to throw off jane by seeming like a dick...Jane told me she likes him as well, and in a separate chat i asked if he liked her and he said no, not at all.These are just a few Strong examples i have, i have a load more small ones but they're not really worth postingplease help me, he's driving me insane and i really wanna tell him about my feelings for him, but i wanna be at least sorta sure that he may like me back before i tell him.what other signs can i look for to tell if he may or may not be gay and like me.thanks, Maps :)

reader, anonymous, writes (19 October 2010): Unless he actually "comes out" to you, ie tell you he is gay. Or that he likes you, or tries to kiss you i wouldn't make any moves.
You may completely ruin your friendship if you pressure him or if you've gotten the completely wrong end of the stick.
Tread carefully, besides everything, it sounds like you've got a good open minded friend there :)
