Is he distancing himself from me?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Alright, so I will try to explain this as best as I can. But first I will let you know the important factor: it's a long distance relationship.

I started dating my brother's friend four months ago, although we live four hours away from each other. It's been going great, we used to talk on the phone everyday, if not we would text each other. We are both in college, so we both are aware that if we don't speak for one day it's b/c we have are busy with school. But these two past weeks I feel like he has distanced himself from me. He now calls me very rarely, and never really texts me. At first I would call him, we would talk for a few minutes, and then he would tell me he's busy with school. So I would obviously let him "take care of business." But now I don't even bother calling him. We haven't spoken on the phone for the past three days, and it's not like him. So I don't know if I'm simply being paranoid or maybe he is distancing himself from me. I know the only solution is to actually ask him what his feelings are, but I just want to know your opinions first. Anyhow, thank you!

It sounds like your man is focused on something a little more close by. Studying, a video game, a new friend. You'll never know until you ask. Straight forward is the way to be.
