 i am 14, as well. and no doubt a 17/18year old girl is more attractive. and i have a 17 year old girl that like's me.....but i am with me 14 year old girl friend. it is better to stay in you'r age group. besides, i think i may be in love with my girlfriend. try one out that is you'r age. i think you will like it a bit more if he is good to you.

 i agree with kenny here. Normally 4 years is nothing and prevents no barrier. But at 14-18 its a different story. Truthly your a child a minor. Hes a fully grown man. With him wanting to be with a 14 year old is not right. I would say wait until your at least 16

You two have an HUGE age gap, you know as well as I do that in teenage years, two years is a lot. I'm 18 and would never dream of dating an 13/14yr old, nor would any of my freinds, boys or girls. It's very strange he's after a girl your age

reader, anonymous, writes (23 December 2007): Its typical for an younger girl to like older guys...they're more mature, cooler, have more money, drive nice cars etc. than younger guys, but honestly I wonder why this 17/18 year old would want to be with a girl so young. It concerns me that hes looking to take advantage and control someone who is young and innocent. You're a young virgin, he's not. It would be better to find someone your own age who's on the same level experience wise as you are. At your age 4 years is a big difference. You're a kid and hes nearly an adult.

 Dont worry about it its not a huge gap my ex was 7 years older then me age is just a number so if you connect well then dont worry, but you are to young to have sex wait till your ready and old enough and dont let him push you into anything as he could get into serious trouble

 I would normally say that age is only numbers at the end of the day, that how a couple feel for one another far superseeds numbers. Generally 4 years is nothing, but in this case as you are only 13, turning 14 the age gap here is huge. When you hear of an 18 year old guy dating a 14 year old girl it just does not sound right, i know its only four years, but is i said at this age its alot. If we leap forward a few years to say when you are 18 and he is 22 this is fine, as you get older the age gap between couples does not sound so bad. My advice would be to maybe leave it till you are older as i feel at the moment you are a tad to young for him.
