yor irritation and burning sensation could be linked to thrush you dont have to be sexually ctive to get it. if you have washed with something different it can cause thrush try using canneston duo cream and use fem fresh vaginal wash it restores the ph balance. hope this helps

Sounds like a yeast infection, I am just getting over one myself, no big deal, over the counter meds will clear it up.

It says itching in the title, are you blind sexlessintheuk? dont be prepared to answer and a question if youre not gonna read it fully.

And i advise you to try harder to find a doctor because they advise you to go if its the first time youve had thrush or buy something to take, i reccomend canesten if youre in the UK

A female reader, anonymous, writes (9 September 2009):

could also be a yeast infection they are very common and easily treated with over the counter meds you can buy at any grocery store without having to see a doctor, would be itchy, burn, have that yellow or white discharge and smell really bad, there are kits you can buy at the store now that will help rule out some vaginal infections but not all might check into that. but if it doesn't get better in a few days try going to a free clinic or something.
