Involved with a 40 year old guy! His interest in sex has vanished..is his age a factor?

Question - (12 November 2006) 3 Answers - (Newest, 15 November 2006)
A male Australia, anonymous writes:

Does anyone know if there is much difference between the sex drive of a 20 year old man and a 40 year old man?

I am in a relationship with a man almost twice my age and everything was going really well until more recently when his interest in sex vanished. Would it be just because of his age or would there be other factors?

Thanks.

Woops, that was terribly written! What I meant to say was:

Thank you Juls for your response. No things have not always been like they are now, and I am certain he has no erection problems. Unfortunately when I asked him why he isn't interested any more he said he didn't know.

A female reader, Juls +, writes (13 November 2006):

You have a problem. As a 40 years-old male friend of mine recently put it: "You know, the bottom line for all guys is their penis."

If he's not interested in sex anymore when he's got a good looking (I'll assume you're good-looking) young guy available, then your relationship is damaged. You need to ask him why.

If things have always been that way, he could have erection problems (that's not likely, he's not really ancient yet), but if he enjoyed sex before, then age is not the factor here.
