She has been my bestfriend for 2 years now, she makes me smile, and cares about when i'm upset. She means the world to me, and ive never had the courage to show her. All her friends, and my friends, know that I'm in love with her, but wont tell her. I'm scared to DEATH to ask her out on a date, in fear that she will turn me away and never speak to me again. Tonight, her friend and her boyfriend, myself and her all hung out at my house. We had rented Dear John and decided to watch it. And too be honest, I cried. She kept asking me if I was okay, but I wasnt. I drove them all home, and her last. I went inside, and hugged her brother because we had left him home alone and he hates being left home alone. When I saw she had a chocolate bar, I went for it. We had a little squabble over it, but nothing big. She had it behind her back, and I put my arm between her arm and her side, and pulled her close. I almost kissed her, but I quickly went away to pretend I didnt try too. I was so close, but I decided to leave instead. I'm currently beating myself up over this, I really wanted to kiss her. Ive gotta go to provincals this weekend, for rugby. I invited her, and she said she'd go if she had a drive, and my mom will drive her. I cant tell if she likes me, everyone tells me that she does, but I cant believe it. What should I do, I'm terrified!!!

How I felt, what I wanted. I asked for a chance
she said she would think about it, but the tone of her voice wasnt very reassuring. I believe I just ruined an amazing friendship

You will never know if you dont take a chance. If you let her get away you'll regret it probly worse than you regret not kissing her! Jump and let her catch you!
Peace Love and Happiness!

It sounds like she is in the same situation as you. To me it seems like she likes you too. Just don't be so afraid, if she has showed you that much affection already then I don't see why you're so afraid.
Just go for it. I think everything will go well. Just tell her that you like her and if she doesn't feel the same then ask if you two can still be friends.
