my first question, my first date

i met this guy at a gig and were chatting, swopped numbers and all but we lived really far away from each other. We texted each other found out we had a lot in common, music taste, sense of humour, ambitions

I decided to just go for it and asked him if he wanted to meet up and he said he did.

We went to loads of shops and just talked and laughed constantly and he even bought me dinner, said he liked my dress.

At the end, we were sitting togther and thing went a bit awkward, i guess i was expecting something romantic to happen and it didn't we just ended up talking about smurfs, so i settled on him not being interested.

The he we about to get on his bus and turned back to me and i panicked and shook his hand and he then laughed and gave me a hug

Basically, i really like him but can't tell if he just wants to be friends ?

And have i given him mixed messages by shaking his hand first ?

thank you so much for even taking the time to read this

That always happens to me don't worry. I always worry if I give mixed messages to a guy, which sometimes I do. The best thing to do is to go and talk to him again, or text and act the way you feel for him, without the mixed messages.

Moo's Mum agony auntNo don't worry. It's always a bit awkward on the first date. Why don't you txt him saying you had a lovely day with him and are looking foward to the next date.
