I'm 20 and have longed for a child for around 3 years now.I have been off the pill since last July and have been having un protected sex. Nothings happend!...

i always go for regular check ups at the clinic and ive always been clear.last time i went i said i had quite bad pains in my lower abdomen, they said it might have been a small infection, they gave me antibiotics, im worried tht there is something wrong apart from that. My periods are regular, no major cramps or pains...

He suggested if i was worried i would have to have to have a camara put through my belly button to look at my ovaries! i dont wana have to go to this length! is there another way around it? now im settled with my boyfriend, i can honestly wait to have a baby, but its the thought that i cant which is really worrying me! what if i had something years ago, and its too late to treat and has made me infertile?!

i would appreciate any feedback, thanks! x

my wife and I hd same prblem. She got serious one month and this is what she did: stopped drinking coffee and caffeine(soda, ice tea), excercised, and tracked her ovulation from LMP. We got pregnant that very month!

well to be honest i wouldnt worry at this stage. the average time it can take a couple to conceive is about a year... and prolonged contraceptive use before that time can mean it takes a few more months than most since all your hormones have to go back to normal first... so just keep on working on it. and dont let your sex life become all about getting pregnant, keep it fun! otherwise it will become stressful and that will only hinder you rather than help... just keep at it and let nature take its course...

Good luck hun, hope it happens soon for you.

Claire

P.S only know this 'cos i've done a lot of research since i'm 20 too and i've been trying to conceive for a while myself. lol

its better to go and have the tests and checkup than to avoid them atleast then you will know. The faster you get checked the faster you will know and if anything is wrong it might be treatable if you catch it fast enough.
