A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Right so this isnt a relationship question it has nothing to do with this but i really need help. my mum told me today that while on holiday my gramp had to be in hospital for 4 days! i asked why and all she told me and will tell me is that it is a hernia in his stomach, after she told me this i asked if it was dangerous she said it can be. My gramp will soon be going in for an operation to get rid of it, but i cant help but feel so worried if it doesnt work i'm really scared.

Any answers are welcome

thanks x

Hi

hernia operations are common , my brother and partner both have had the operation. Gramps will be fine however he may be quite sore for a while especially when caughing but this will ease. Try not to worry the docs and nurses will take great care of him.

Take care x

C. Grant agony auntIt's not an uncommon problem, and is usually dealt with quickly and relatively easily. As long as your grandfather doesn't have other complicating health issues, most likely everything will be just fine.
