writes: Hi there. This is a question for all the females out there who have had their belly button pierced!I'm a teenager at 15 years of age. I will be 16 in july, and on my 16th birthday, I am wanting to get my belly button pierced. I am aware that at 15 years old, you have to have a parent/guardian with you for legal reasons. Do you still have to have a parent/guardian with you if you are 16?I am also worried about the pain. I was wondering how much pain you had if u had any? and also, I have heard that there is a slight chance that having your belly button pierced could cause fertility problems. Is this true?So far, I have only had my ears pierced (when I was 12), and that only hurt the slightest. If u could compare the pain of your belly button pierced to the pain of having your ears pierced, that would be great!If u have any tips of how to try to prevent it from getting infected and keeping it clean, please post them if poss.I'm really nervous about this, so thanks for any help u guys, much appreciated!  Make sure the people are legal make them show you there licence. make sure the place is clean and well kept. ask the before hand how you a meant to keep you navel clean. make sure its dont by a professional, mack sure the use a light steling sliver piecing. make sure then give you a reciept.

 I made the very stupid mistake of not having my navel pierced with gold, they used surgical steel. Bearing in mind the only metal I can wear in my ears is gold why did I think that my navel would be any different? DUR!!
Mkae sure you go to a reputable piercer, make sure they use sterile equipment, ask to see the sealed packets, non of you stuff out of autoclaves! I am not going to kid you, it is very uncomfortable and it is slightly worse than having your ears done. But everybody's pain threshold is different so don't stress too much cos I am a wuss!!
