writes:I like this girl at school. When she was in my class she acted all girly with me and likde me to sit beside her in science. Then she had to switch out of my classes.Now she doesn't even talk to me. then it was this girl that i am totally just friends with who is now beginning to like me. I told her that i overheard this guy tell someone that we like each other which is not true. She said at least i will have someone to take to the prom next year. Today in gym she told the girl that i like that i might take her to the prom next year.I didnt even say that i was. Now i feel upset because i think i ruined my chances. What do i do? reader, anonymous, writes (15 May 2008): Make it clear to your friend, that you like her, but you are only friends and can only be friends. Stop telling her about your feelings for this other girl because she's using it against you to drive the girl away.
Then tell the girl you like how you feel. Tell her how your jealous friend tried to spoil things. Tell her that the only person you want to go to the prom with is her. She probably likes you and is keeping her distance because she's jealous and afraid that you have no feelings for her.
If you don't tell her how you feel, how is she going to know. Do they teach mind reading at this school that you go to. Tell her already.. What can it hurt... Maybe she likes you too.
