Hello,As you can see by my picture that is my avatar, being in shape is very important to me. Here's the deal. While it is a little more difficult to deal with the food issue because you don't cook your own food, you can still control how much of it goes on your plate. Portion control is still within your power. First off, have you discussed your issues with your self image with your parents? Have you told them that you would like to have better food choices for yourself, or at least to get them on board to support your efforts?Along with the food portions...meaning, each portion of whatever food is on the plate should fit in the palm of your hand. Eating is about fueling the body not merely pleasure. You can also start adding a nice salad to your lunch and dinner. This is within your control because you can make your own salad. Also, other ways to loose weight is to cut out all sugary drinks. No sodas, ever. Few fruit juice...mostly water. Limit your exposure to junk food once a week. As far as exercising, the easiest thing to do is to start walking. Literally, walk when ever you can. If you don't have to drive, then walk. Dance. Dance in your room. If you are looking for an aerobic work out, then there are plenty of DVD's and Fitness websites available.Getting in shape doesn't have to be hard endeavor. It's about making better choices and making the decision to live better. Even at age 13, you have choices over what goes into your body and how much you move your body.
