When I was 17 I met this guy named Todd who was 23. I had a crush on him but now........Its driving me insane. Im typically a shy girl so going up and asking him out was out of the question, plus I think only guys should ask girls out. Im now 18 but he moved away and I cant stop thinking about him. I dont want the chance of love to slip away again so should I get over my shyness and make the first move or just wait for it to come to me?

kenny agony auntI think that in this day and age it does not look to out of place for a girl to ask a guy out, as it did years ago. I think if you don't want this love to slip away, then maybe you should overcome your shyness and arrange to meet him. Keep it light hearted and just ask him if fancies meeting up for a drink or something, then take it from there.

All the best & good luck x
