I've recently found out i'm roughly 7 weeks pregnant, I haven't been to the doctors yet but i've got an appointment for wednesday. I was just wondering as well as nausea and sickness i've had a huge loss in appetite, i've never been a big eater but even though I sometimes feel hungry, any sort of food I think of makes me feel sick. Although I am eating a bit (by forcing myself to mainly) this usually results in being thrown back up again! I'm worried there could be something wrong with losing appetite during pregnancy because it's a symptom i've not heard of. And also if it is pretty normal, any ideas roughly when it should come back? Thank you. Reply to this Question Share |

Hi there,
This is a question for your doctor. I think it'll be best to just give him or her a call and ask. I did look it up on the web and found a couple of questions like yours. It seems to be uncommon, but it happens. Seems to be in the first trimester that it's most common.
I like Candy's advice, maybe try blending up smoothies using lots of fruits and try to stomach that.
Here are some websites with similiar questions to yours:

I really think you should call your doctor though, and just double check.
Good luck, sweetness... and congratulations!

I think you should ask your doctor about this.
I know when Katie price aka Jordan was pregnant with her last she had to force herself to eat.
Your body is in a different place and perhaps is struggling to adapt.
Talk to you doctor and ask her how you can get your appetite back.
Maybe try blending food and making it into a milkshake/drink.
