writes:So, I've recently been talking to this girl and I'm really attracted to her but she just got her heart broken and its been about a week but I'm not sure now is the right time to ask her out because I want to give her time to get back on her feet and everything. We talk a lot on the phone and I've asked her if she would ever want to catch a movie or grab a bit eto eat and she agreed! I also keep dropping hints but I don't want to make it too obvious.We also have a lot in common. Another reason I'm not sure I should ask her out is because I really don't want to get rejected by her and ultimately ruin our friendship. I just don't know what to do. reader, anonymous, writes (15 July 2009): I don't think now would be a good time to ask her out (on a date), but maybe in a while, a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on how much her heart was broken and how long she was with her ex! If it wasn't serious I'm sure she'll get over it quicker, but still give it a little while. In the mean time hang out with her as friends, and see where it leads. If she's keen she may ask you out first!
