I remember something about online chat rooms, but i never used them. I do have a Skype but i only use if for live contact with my teachers and my friends from my classes. Surpizingly they dont care about that. I do have a playlist account for music (i seem to work better with music) And dad doesnt mind. Still confused though.

Also you can ask them to download your course work and make it available offline to you. That should solve all your problems.

Surely your parents are aware of the format of your course work if they put you in home-school? Try reminding them of this fact if you like, but I'm betting what they meant is that you aren't supposed to use the internet for social stuff. I'm sure if they understand that you need internet for your school work they will at least let you use it for that...but they will probably want to monitor you to make sure you stick to the rule. Good luck =/
