A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2009):

Nooooo! Never call a girl that you dont know as well if she didnt give you her number. When a guy calls us saying "oh yeah Peter gave me your number" what goes through our head is "this weirdo" its always best if "Peter" talks to her and tells her " my girl and a friend of mine who is interested in you want to go to the movies or go out or to eat i was wondering if you can come with us?" That way you didnt look like your desperate. If she goes and you guys had some time talking to eachother then you can ask her yourself for her number. Well god luck!
