A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been posting pics of me onto an ameteur porn site. I'm 16 but pretending to be 18. Ignoring any moral issues, am I breaking any laws or is it the site who would get the blame if my real age is discovered?

CarrieMagdelene agony auntIf you feel very guilty about lying about your age, I'd stop posting period.

Also, since you KNOW what you are doing, it's not the porn sites fault. They probably had a disclaimer saying they aren't responsible for the content of the site and that it's for 18+ right? So technically, you aren't breaking the actual law, but you're violating thier site rules. If they find out you lied and really care about this fact, they can have your images deleted, and also take you to court if it creates any problems for them.

I think it's best to just take down your images and quit the site to avoid any trouble about your age. No one will know if you don't tell them, but if you're confronted and you lie, and the truth is found out, it could have serious consequences, and I worry about what you parents will think.

I have no problems with people who view porn or make it themselves to post. It's your right, it's the first amendment, and I'm glad you're confident enough about your body to do this. I just want you to be very safe about this. I hope you aren't including your real name! And never give out adresses, phone numbers (even a cell number), and don't agree to meet anyone. Remember that your safety comes first. :) Good luck!

Just stop doing it. Why would you even feel the need to lie about your age and post nude pictures to have the site be at fault?

I am sure this happens all the time, unfortunately.

What is it is you want here? Do you want them to be at blame?

Just hold off for two more years. This way you can avoid getting other men and women into dire trouble by your dishonesty.
