I haven't had sex in a depressingly long time! Although last time it was painful, also I find when I masturbate, I get very sore - and that area is always sore - even though I dont masturbate very often, it does not seem to recover. I also find any material next to me (like pants etc) after sex incredibly painful on that area. Is this normal? I know I haven't caught anything through sex because I was tested for STDs after the last time I had sex and was completely clear! Any help would be appriciated!

It's best to go and see a doctor. It could be a number of things. Don't be embarrassed. Doctors deal with things like this everyday. They've been doing it for years.

It could be a number of things. Urinary tract infection, thrush...
Most women will experience some kind of infection or problem down there at some point in thier lives.
Go to your doctor, they'll be used to being asked and will be able to give you some antibiotics or cream. Don't worry, its very very rarely anything serious. But it is best you get checked out by your doctor and it will ease your mind x

I suggest you contact your doctor; I do not wish to speculate on the various possibilities of what it could be or what you should do;
I believe that you do not risk your health and that this is a matter that NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION.
Even if you have been tested for STD's; and have not had sex for sometime;
PLEASE
do not risk your health; delaying the appointment to the doctor now might cost you lots of tears in time to come;
making the appointment and getting the CORRECT TREATMENT
might save you lots of aggrivation and pain; and probably lots of problems in the future.
Our female sexual organs are very sensitive and we need to pay special attention to the body giving us warning signals.
Best wishes and get to your doctor with a big SMILE!
Keep us posted.
