maxsteel is providing inncorrect information. although it seams that you should not be able to be pregnant and still have periods. in some cases it can still happen, i know as i have researched it and i am talking from experince. i thought just because i was getting my periods i wasnt pregnant, Not true!

And the pill can be prescribe any time after a girl has hit pubity and having periods.

just buy a test. and if it comes back negg and your still not totaly happy, go to your gp. they will be able to help u. and its totaly confidential. hope all goes well for you!

sorry to disappoint maxsteel86 but you have no idea what your talking about. I don't think a man should go around giving advice about periods when you have never even experienced one. When you are pregnant it is possible to still have your period, as i said i did, my daughter is now 2 years old and i had my period regulary for the 1st 4 months of my pregnancy. Please don't listen to the advice of some of the morons on this chat line. Go and see your doctor and have a pregnancy test. Also chat to them about the pill or some form of contraception. You don't have to be 18 to get the pill. Many girls go on the pill at the age of 13+ for hormonal problems and acne. PLease look after your health go and see your doctor ASAP. Don't take the advice of people who don't know what there talking about.

maxsteel86 agony auntFor 3/4 months you've had your periods? I'm totally sure you're not pregnant. I guess there might be those few who do have periods all the way through their pregnancy (sorry I dont believe you, i no how u feel, but for something like that I'm sure most people would need proof and not just the words of someone).

Anyway, dont worry about it. Also the guy must've been like a jackass cos I know they dont even give the pill out to under 18s. Though I think thats with the doctor and everything... haven't got a clue about over the counter but the guy should've atleast asked.

On another topic, say like you were having periods throughout your pregnancy, would a pregnancy test even work? Doesn't hcg stop the periods from happening? So if its not present, it wont be detected right?

I'm sorry but what tacobell5 has said is incorrect it is possible to be pregnant and still have your period. Some women continue to have there period the whole way through there pregnancy. I was one of them. Please go to a chemist and get a pregnancy test. If your not pregnant then please go to your dr and speak to them about contraception.

Angelicc agony auntGeorgia...Knowing that you engaging in sexual activity from such a young age is worry espeically as you haven't used any form of protection. I think that it's more then likely that you are pregnant as some pregnant woman find that their still are on their periods whilst pregnant.

The best thing to do is to speak to your mum about she mostly likely is gonna be upset about it but this is something that you shouldn't go thru alone. Then you should make an appointment or walk into your local family planning clinic, have a pregnacny test done and get tested for STI's, STD's and HIV. Becuase you not only put yourself at risk of prenacny but also at risk of any sexually transmitted disease.
