Well, you're around my age, so being in a relationship isn't essential at the minute. I'm not gay but I'm not homophobic and I respect people for who they are. I don't believe anyone "chooses" to be gay, because why would anyone choose to be discriminated against? I know a few openly gay people at my school and they get a hell of a lot of teasing for it, so ask yourself, are you confident or is being open getting you down? There is absolutely nothing wrong about being gay, sister! If you want to love someone then love them! I know certain religions say that being gay is wrong but would God want one of his people to be mistreated? It doesn't seem like a very religious thing to do, discriminate against, does it? I have explained all this because I believe that you are struggling to get a girlfriend because at our age, people are worried about what people will think of them if they are open about being gay. Girls inpaticular. I said I knew a few gay people, but they are all older than me, and they are all guys. What does that say? Being a girl I know that most of people our age try to fit in, don't they? Don't worry about getting a gf just yet. Enjoy life! We have so much time ahead of us, Dearcupid has taught me that relationships aren't vital yet. Don't get yourself down about it, girlfriend!! And do not let the crowd push you to be someone you're not. You are SO brave about being openly gay. Stay you, and do NOT let them make you feel bad about it. reader, anonymous, writes (6 April 2012): Helllo :) im 14 girl and have same priblem but ive had an ex gf but anyway but its hard to find one as most people are age are still confuzed and dont even know what there gonna have for breckfast let alone yhere sexuality theres a few brave ones who know for sure and can come out easy but for others its not so easy so unless your out at your school people arent going to know so wont errrmmm how to word it..... Know to fancy you and to come to you 'romanticly' if you are out just wait for people and things you dont know what the future holds i mean next week you could meet someone just like you, so just have your hopes high and again even if that plan fails then wait a few years then you can go out and meet more people through clubs and things.
