A female Canada age 30-35, *uno* writes:

I find my self falling for my boyfriend’s best friend, what should I do?

I just recently started dating my boyfriend “bob” , he is really good to me and every one continuously tells me how lucky I am to be with him and how jealous they are of the way he treat me. His best friend “sam” goes to my school and he used to date a friend of mine. After they broke up he showed interest in me but I told no, because my friend was still very into him. When my friend found out what was going on she tried making my days at school hell, it worked for a short period of time, but it eventually began to backfire on her. During this time me and “sam” attended the same clubbing even, where he made several moves on me. I told him no the first couple times, but them ended up kissing him. The next day I decided that it was a one time thing and that I wouldn’t let it happened. Months later my parents we out of town so I threw a party, to which “sam” brought “bob”. At the party “sam” kissed me again, but I ended spending the night with “bob”. Soon we began dating and I really like him, but I find my self developing strong feeling for “sam” because now I spend most of my time around him. “sam” goes to my school and I find my self trying to spend much of my free time at school around him. He is very protective of me and stands up for me when my guy friends pick on me (I tend be closer with my guy friends and spend more time with them). When I see him in school he is very happy to see me and when we hug he kissed me on my cheek (I don’t know if that means anything, because he doesn’t kiss any other girl when he hugs them). When he has his car with him he drives me home, and when he doesn’t we walk home together, mostly with other friends but at times its just us. Unfortunately “sam” has a bad reputation for playing around with girls and he is also going off to university this year, unlike “bob”.

In the end, I feel more attracted to “sam” but if he didn’t exist I can see my self being with “bob”. Please help me decide on what to do.
