Yup - its the hymen. Also there are ridges at the anterior surface under the pubic bone. Hard pressure there (with no rubbing - just one spot) is both uncomfortable and strangely erotic at the same time....
Keep exploring. And enjoy!!

It's probably your hymen.
For peace of mind, though, I would go to a doctor or nurse. Typically, it breaks when you have sex for the first time. It's true that other things can cause it to break (horseback riding, for example).

It sounds like it might be your hymen, the flap of skin which all virgins have.

It would be how a person in the oldens days would check to ensure the girls purity. These days when it is broken .. it bleeds .. this is what we call ... a popped cherry. If you use tampons, you can also tear this. Leave it be, very normal. Your just fine.

I know you feel embarrassed about this but I would recommend getting an appointment with the nurse at your doctors surgery because it will put your mind to rest more so then having a few different ideas from your description.
