Which i guess is true, but my weight is the only thing i focus on for most of the time and seeing as i am in my final year i kinda need to be focusing on my studies more but i just can't. I'll be sitting down doing my homework yet instead thinking about how i need to do some excercise than be here. So instead i go on a run or walk. Is this really normal? And how can i try and not be so obsessive over my weight all the time?

reader, anonymous, writes (4 March 2007): You can't stop your obsession. This is a psychological dilemma - it comes from inside. You are obviously not comfortable about your size and weight, and you feel that people feel that you are disgusting or the like. If you can work pass that, then you can stop thinking about your size and weight. Until then, you can try the usual such as sports and cardio exercises, and eating a different set of foods that has a lower calorie intake.
Usually, people who are not as refined in their psyche, can choose to do things that may reinforce their mental strengths. Things that can make you feel good as a person, some things that can contribute to your overall growth - eg: career, volunteering, joining events, and finding out what you are good at, etc. Hanging around with more positive people also helps.
