I'm always just seen as "one of the guys"

A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I would appreciate some outside advice.

When I started 6th form there were some new people start too and one of these was a boy who is also one of my best friends closest friends (she also started school with me this year) so this boy and i became friends quickly, partly i assume because of the mutual friend we have. I have a lot of guy friends but I am usually seen as 'one of the guys' and this causes confusion for me.

At school this boy sits with me in our free periods, we always have a lot of fun, we talk a lot and we get on easily. a private joke of ours involves him sitting really close to me and touching my leg etc but in a jokey way. because I am a lot like our mutual friend I assume that he sees me like he sees her, just a friend. but sometimes i think there might be something a little different. he teases me but is really nice to me, we talk for ages, he texts me, he sits really close to me and i often think that I see him looking at me, only to look away when I look, but I am not confident so I assume he's looking at someone else. He always makes me laugh and he's always asking me to help him with little things.

Can anyone help me please. thankyou.

from what you have said i would think that he likes you!and most likely quite a lot. you should try and find out a little bit more like ask him out to the cinema just as mates or have a night in and watch a film just to see if he is on the same page as you are.

good luck :)
