writes: I want to introduce my boyfriend to my family as we've been dating for four months now. But he doesn't have a great past. He got into trouble with the law a few months back. It really wasn't his fault ( It really wasn't he was sold robbed goods ) I,ve never mentioned it to my family before and they worry about everything and anything and they're very protective of me as i,m the youngest in my family. Just explain this to your boyfriend and tell him not to mention anything to your parents for the time being until they get to know him as a person. If it comes out down the line then well at least they will already have knowing him and not judge him on that alone. What they don't know won't hurt them and it is still early days with the both of you so really there is no need to bring up his past.
