You are still very young and as Uncle Phil so rightly said young girls are prone to drama. I had a friend who exaggerated everything and every day on the way to work something monumental happened . It got to the point where all of us in the office would be laughing at her behind her back to see what she would come out with next. Be carefeul you don't fall into this trap. I would cut down on adding any extras to your stories bit by bit and then see how you cope without adding anything. You will probably find that you feel calmer as having to remember what you have exaggerated is waring after a while. This is a young girl attention seeking thing so i am sure you will grow out of it. Try lessening the slant you put on stories bit by bit until you feel you don't have to do it anymore and see how you get on. All the best,

reader, anonymous, writes (6 January 2009): I suppose it all adds to the drama, and drama is something that most teenage girls are renowned for, so you're not unusual in that respect. It's almost a given that a teenage girl will exaggerate things to attract attention or whatever. It's also one of the things that makes an older woman that much more attractive to a bloke ie. - no drama.
