Thinking that introveinous drug users have incurable diseases is IMHO ignorant! I was a user of needles but took absolute care of myself and would deny ANY chance to use others needles!!GROSS!!! I did what I did cause I wanted to get high and forget about my feelings. No brainer...I am a very different person today. Thankfully never transmitted anything I didn't want. One thing all you may not understand is that you CAN buy needles direct from CVS pharm and any other pharm without any prescription. It sounds to me if he attracted you he must have some standards of health and safety.DO NOT DENY UR FEAR...get tested every couple years regardless. I actually had sex with somebody who had full blown aids and never transmitted it. Unprotected too...not something I am proud of and it scared the life out of me. Just wanted to inform you...not all drug users have diseases!~! Some are even Lawers, Doctors, Teachers, Parents, children, drivers, law enforcement, etc.. I know... I've met them.

Leave him now because:
a. it is possible to get HIV from him if he has got it from a needle.
b. do you really want a boyfriend who is on drugs?
Get tested now, and if you ever have sex with a guy whose sexual history is unknown to you, then USE A CONDOM =]

Yes, it is possible for you to get HIV, so go get tested and re-tested 6 months later, and......... stop having sex with him or any one else unprotected. It might just save your life.

Drug users tend to be pathological liars - they are often in denial about their behaviour and the harm it does. I wouldn't trust his word about using needles or the range of drugs he maybe using. I think you need to see a doctor for a full blood and urine screening for STD infections including hepatitis disorders. If you are worried about seeing your family doctor, go to one of the specialist family planning clinics that are available in most communities.
