I'm a 14 year old female and am a sophomore in high school. Despite my age, please answer seriously. I moved to a town in California about a year ago, and just moved into a house more recently. I've found that I have a *ahem* attractive neighbor, who is a junior at my school. He's on the varsity football team as well, so I barely ever get to see him (he's always at practice).

I finally got to meet him on Labor Day, but we only really smiled at each other and said hi, glancing at one another at times. (He's very nice, by the way). This was at night and there was a bonfire; so, as you might imagine, I kind of like him now.

In school, I have one class with him now. When he saw I was there, he pointed at me with a look of surprise on his face and then smiled and said "you're in this class too?!" I then said yes, and he turned to his friends around him and nodded, saying "that's cool." My friend says that she heard him talking to his friends about me briefly, but she wasn't paying attention to the conversation. (Darn!!)

Now, I say hi to him almost everyday after lunch, and we always both smile and wave. I'm a little unsure about how I could strike up a conversation with him (and where), but I hope to soon.

I'm requesting any general feedback about what you get from my descriptions, and will try to fill in any blanks if anyone has questions. Also, advice on how to say something other than hi would be nice! Thanks!

Mistwolf2 agony auntHey, thanks for those of you who have answered so far!

Okay, so I successfully talked to him today. I helped him with a problem in Chemistry, then he asked me for help on another question. =] Later, I saw him near his house and he said "how're you doing?" and waved, as apposed to the "hi" we used to exchange...I see this as great improvement, for I may have broken some ice between us! But now what??

Go round to his house and say you lost the homework assignment from that class and does he have it?

After that you just have to start asking him about everything like how his football team is going, and the weather and the school dance and everything till you get chatty. The suggest you do something at the same time in the same place - like a project or seeing a new film or something.

Good Luck!! xx
