I find myself single, 36, no prospects. I'm in college and surrounded by people in their early to mid twenties. I feel OLD. A girl even said to me the other day that she's surprised I'm not married with a couple kids at my age. Is it hopeless?! Am I old? I'm starting to feel like I'll never have the family I've always dreamed of.

Point being, you are not OLD. You just have to act a bit more quickly. This is a bit of an issue because you may not have sufficient time to evaluate the potential mate thoroughly enough. Act wisely.
You are not OLD and you are definitely not alone.

You might be older then average of people who starts to have children, but in this day and age 36 isn't old.
Life doesn't always go as we plan, I can attest to that. I didn't think I'd be married OR have children but both happened. One of my good friends is 43, had a child by insemination and is still single. She just didn't want to wait for Mr. Right. She certainly never thought that was how it was going to be, yet she is pretty happy with her daughter and her life.
Instead of focusing so much of what you THINK your life should be, focus on how to get to a point where you find your self HAPPY. Happy with who you are and what you are doing.
