 What pill are you on? If you use your pill as prescribed you will be protected 100% of the time. It will normally be described in the instructions that come with the pills, so read those carefully!
For the pill I am on, Microgynon, it really depends on where in the cycle you are, and if you skipped the last "pause" or not. There are also some other things you need to consider. But as a general rule: unprotected sex can get you pregnant, yes. And if you are not on your pill then you are not protected. Read up about the pill you are on to find the answers.
