Hi,

I have a female friend who claims to have a brain tumour; however last night she was getting completely off it. Can alcohol cause complications if you have a brain tumour?

thanxs

mommyofthree agony auntI am no doctor so I really don't know if that could cause problems, but in my opinion if had a brain tumor I would probably spend a lot of time getting sloshed. Look at it this way, something like that can really mess with your head (no pun intended) and it may not be the right way to cope but she may feel like she deserves a little time to have fun. If you doubt that she really has a brain tumor then ask her more about it or maybe bring it up in front of someone that would know if it was true or not (family members), but don't come out and accuse her of lying because you will feel like a real dumb ass if she is telling the truth. And please, when someone has something like this to deal with the last thing they need is people doubting them and telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing, especially their so called friends, do her a favor and be there for her. Good luck.
