Ah, the two things Germans and the Irish have in common: their love for beer.
Hooray beer!

Well, since the wedding is taking place in Germany, you will instantly have the German factor. There will be German food, cake/pastries and architecture. I have lived in Germany for many years and have several relatives that live there. I have to say that Germans are not exactly "party people" and let's get real: their folk music isn't exactly the greatest either. :) So to liven things up, why not have an Irish band/folk musicians? Are there any Irish dishes that are delicious and that people will enjoy? The Germans have great chocolate and pastries, but the actual food isn't the most exciting. Maybe add some Irish drinks as well? Over all, don't fret about it. Just don't put up flags, or some tacky symbolic features either. Just focus on the food and music because that is at the heart of each country.
