Not because they have to but they find work more enjoyable and rewarding than spending time with the kids.Honestly I have a 10 yr old daughter and a 8 yr old son, and I would rather work than be with them. I work 80 hrs a week and I love it!!!! Reply to this Question Share |

Are they going through a rough time?
What about the needs of your children? Why have two children...this shows this isn't an "accident" and then turn to putting your all into work rather than your own flesh and blood? This sounds harsh, selfish...is this really you?
There is more going on and you need to have it addressed. You need this for yourself and you need to do it for your children.
Running away isn't going to help anyone...not even yourself so don't fool yourself.
The problem will still be there and it gets worse as the children age. Resentment and distrust in you can leave them hating themselves and making poor judgements that have outcomes where they are hurting themselves.
I find it hard to conceive that you would want this future for you children.
You love your children then you will stop running and get some family counselling.
You do not NEED to work 80 hours a week. You just WANT to.
Having children means sacrificing your time, your energy.
Step up and cut back the hours to get some family counselling and rediscover the beauty of your children.
Best of luck.
