A male United States age 30-35, *ngramainyu writes:

Her friends and family felt neglected and told her that she was spending too much time with me, even though she gave everyone an equal amount of time. She said her friends and family are more important than a boyfriend so she pushed me away. I agree with her but we were best friends before we went out and even considered each other as brother and sister, so I don't understand why that changed and I became less important.

She broke up with me because I told her parents that she was taking a large amount of her mother's prescribed sleeping pills. I only did it to protect her and because I love her, but she doesn't believe me.

I don't know what to do. I keep trying to make things better but it just makes things worse. I'm always going to have feelings for her and love her, so I can't forget about her. I understand we probably won't be together. I just want my friend and little sister back, but I think my feelings for her will get in the way.

I still hope we could be together. I feel like I was treated unfairly and we ended it too early when we could have worked things out. It makes me sick thinking of a future without her beside me.
