I ended up quitting after working there part time for a month, and want to know if I can still get paid even though I was there for a short time. I would also want to know how you would go about getting the paycheck or what actions have to be taken to receive it. Thank you Reply to this Question Share |

You will definitely still get paid no matter how long you worked there. I received a paycheck for a job I quit after working there for 3 days. It happened a few times actually when I was younger and quit dead end jobs with no notice. They were always mailed to me within a few weeks to a month after quitting.
You can contact the company's human resources department if you feel it has been past the amount of time you should have gotten the paycheck. Or if you just want the peace of mind. But regardless of your time at a job, if you clocked in, you will get a paycheck.

I'm not sure what the legal regulations and rules are in the US, but where I live, you would definitely legally be entitled to your wages for the work you did complete. I once quit a job after just one day, and still was paid for it!
You could phone them, and ask to speak to your former boss about your situation.
If they refuse to pay you, you could take legal action, and go from there. I am not too sure about what they do because the laws over here in Ireland may be different than in the states, but I can't imagine that they have you work for free for a whole month!
