I went away for the night and he didn't say good night or good morning?

Question - (27 April 2014) 3 Answers - (Newest, 28 April 2014)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I had a pretty big argument last week and basically he thinks we spend too much time together and he needs a bit of space.

Even though we were getting along well yesterday and he said that I needn't bother - I booked into a hotel last night, I didn't text him and I gave him his space.

I think it may have been our first night apart in over a year and I know this is silly but I didn't get a good morning or a good night text, does this mean he didn't think about me at all?

It's just that even when we are together I get a good morning hug and kiss and at least a kiss at night?

Space means space, including not texting. Texting is a demand for attention in these circumstances. You needed to show that you could let him be.

You didn't send HIM a goodnight or good morning text either but I bet you'd be affronted if he or anyone suggested that your lack of contact meant that you hadn't thought about him at all.
