writes: What's the average age to lose your virginity?I mean, i'm 14 and a half and have been thinking about this for a while. My two best friends are probably the biggest players in my town, and i know people lie about how many times they've had sex but trust me i'm friends with most girls they've slept with so i know they arn't lying. So at my age and in the situation i'm in i'm pressured by nearly everyone to have sex... Ive had several girlfriends but only went to the extent of making out with them, ive never thought of doing anything more with the girl i was with. Ive been seeing this girl for a while too whos very good looking and all but i know she has a reputation for giving guys what they want sexually so i don't know what to do. I want to wait buy i have urges sometimes. Any suggestions?

A; you don't "lose" your virginity. it's either taken from you as in rape or you freely give it away. don't give this one-time gift away without serious thought. It's yours once1

If you were 14 and didn't have urges, there would probably be something wrong with you! However, it is best to wait, at least until you've reached the age of consent. And of course it is always better if you are in a relationship with the person ou lose your virginity to. If you are over the age of consent, and the girl you are seeing is too, then it is up to you whether you are ready or not. A lot of people regret losing their virginity too soon or with that particular person, so have a long think about whether you are ready and if this girl is the right person, or how likely you are to regret it.And of course, USE A CONDOM! =]

I lost mine when I was 20, some might think that's old but I really couldn't and didn't give a damn, I wanted to wait. I lost my virginity for my own reasons and I'm glad I did.
Forget about her reputation or the reputation of others, it's your life, you don't have to live up to the expectations of anyone but yourself. If you have urges then why not experiment with her sexually, you don't have to have intercourse until you're ready but there's nothing wrong with exploring your sexuality either. That is after all a part of romantic relationships. Just have fun, do what feels right and don't compare your love life to others, it's not a competition. There are no winners or losers it's also not a numbers game. I'd pick one amazing to sleep with in my lifetime rather than 40 any day.
It's about fun, happiness and enjoying the company of a girl you fancy and want to be with.
