Beingblack agony auntMy dear, who on earth told you that you are fat?

In England, we tend to use stones and pounds as a weight measure. I used to play linebacker, so I can quickly convert your weight in my head, and 8 stones and a few pounds is not fat. Nowhere near fat.

There are many, many, many, women who would give ANYTHING to weigh 8 stone!

Being 5'1" means that you may look a little more compact than a woman who is 5'9", but that does not mean you are fat. And I absolutely guarantee that taller women weigh more than you do, otherwise they would look ridiculously thin.

I work with a beautiful TV presenter in the UK who is shorter than you, and while I will never ask her for her exact weight, I have heard her stressing about how to stay under 9 stone. On screen, people see her face and shoulders. I get to see her completely. She looks a little on the thin side! She gets a huge amount of fan mail from men, and quite a bit from women too.

Your jeans are too small because at 16, your body is becoming that of a woman, instead of a g.

I don't think you need to worry at all.
