My concern is that he could potentially get into trouble if you were to get involved.
I wouldn´t kiss him, period.
If he´s your professor in COLLEGE, then I would wait until he is no longer your professor and then contact him, but don´t bring up love, relationships or kissing. Just ask him if he would be comfortable seeing you outside of school.
We´ve all had the hot teacher we wanted to kiss, trust me. :) I know I did...

Hi there...As much as you might like your teacher, don't kiss him. There is no good outcome. Either he will do the responsible thing and resist you, or, he will kiss you, and then put his job and freedom (depending on how old you are) in jeopardy. In general, don't kiss your teacher.

You can't. A teacher can't get involved with a student. They can get into trouble. And you're setting yourself up for a lot of heartache. Because he will either respond and use you illegally, or he won't respond and you'll be in a huge amount of trouble. Enjoy your crush, but don't try to take it further.
