writes: When is it appropriate to hug a guy? There's this guy I like who flirts with me a lot, once waved madly at me when we saw each other before assembly, picked me first during classwork where we had to find a partner that wasn't sitting next to you, and has put his arm around me for a duration of about 2 seconds. When would it be appropriate to hug him and how exactly do I do it (eg: should I ask him if I can hug him first and if so should I just say, "Hug?" in a questioning voice or something else). He hugs other girls but not me (yet) but I want to give him a hug to show that I like him. He's quite confident and might just be one of those guys who hugs whatever girls he's friends with. I don't think he fancies these girls because one of them already has a boyfriend. Does he fancy me over them, then?

i say just go for it! if he hugs many girls i am sure he will not suspect that you like him, as it could just mean you are being friendly! Just hug him maybe to say hi, bye, if he pays you a compliment (etc.) Be slightly flirty with him, but at the same time play it cool and see what happens! xxx
