So yesterday I met this really cute guy in the phone store and unless he is completely stupid, I'm sure that he could tell I was interested in him. I didn't want to embarrass myself or try too hard in his workplace so I didn't ask him for his number outright. Instead I had him to call my number from his phone to see if my phone is working. This was how I got his number as well as a card on his desk. Something else is wrong with my phone now. I really want to call him and ask him what's wrong. Would it be too forward of me to let him know that I want to get to know him better? Should I send an email? Or call or text him?

I don't think there is any harm in giving him a phone call. Sure what have you got to lose? Call him and tell him the problem with your phone and ask him would he be able to help, if he can help then maybe invite him out for a coffee or something so you can both relax and talk and get to know each other, you have nothing to lose here so go for it and good luck.
