We went out to see a movie and have a meal afterwards. I liked to think of it as a date, but not sure if she does.I was going to ask her, before I dropped her off, if she was seeing anyone or if she was interested me in anyway other than friendship.But, obviously, with me being very shy, I didn't have the guts to ask her.I want to find out if she does like me, but don't have the confidence to do so.. anyone got any tips or help on doing this? I'm pretty much the same with general friends, just not as bad.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 September 2007): Just ask her for her phone number and ask her if you can call her sometime. Find out what is going on. Maybe a concert. Ask her if she wants to go with you. DON'T straight out ask her if she likes you. That's lame. Do you go around asking your friends if they like you? Or if they want to be your friend? No. It just happens. So do the same with her. Just ask her out somewhere. And see what she says. If she likes you she will say yes.
